Easy 3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Cereal Bars
Looking for a simple, affordable, and nutritious snack you can make at home? These no-bake peanut butter cereal bars come together in minutes using just three pantry staples. They’re perfect for busy mornings, school lunches, or a quick grab-and-go snack.
Ingredients:
3 ½ cups Honey Nut Cheerios or similar toasted oat cereal
½ cup peanut butter
½ cup honey
Instructions:
In a small saucepan, combine the peanut butter and honey.
Heat over low to medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture just starts to bubble.
Remove from heat and pour over the cereal in a large bowl.
Stir to coat evenly.
Press the mixture onto a parchment-lined pan until it’s about ½ inch thick.
Refrigerate for at least one hour to set.
Cut into bars or break into pieces for easy snacking.
Optional Add-Ins:
This base recipe is very customizable. Consider mixing in any of the following to boost flavor, texture, or nutrition:
Chia seeds or ground flaxseed
Dried fruit like raisins, cranberries, or chopped dates
Crushed pretzels or puffed rice
Mini chocolate chips (add after cooling slightly)
A sprinkle of cinnamon or sea salt on top
These bars are a cost-effective alternative to store-bought granola or cereal bars and are made with ingredients you likely already have on hand.
